PROJECT 01/20

Queen’s Park Kitchen, New Westminster

Working within the parameters of this small kitchen, we had to maximize storage and create designated stations for this active family of five. To achieve better use of space, we installed wall-to-wall cabinets to house the fridge and create space for a pull-out pantry. Double-sided cabinets on the island ensured ample room for pots and pans and created a larger space for kids to do homework while dinner was cooking. We added a custom butcher block counter to withstand big messes and add warmth to the room. A large farmhouse sink and panel-ready dishwasher make washing easy, while the wired-in flush-mount pendant lights added task lighting. Complimenting the vintage range, we built a bespoke hood fan and framed it with peek-a-boo upper cabinets to house household treasures. Beautiful, ornate chair rail and baseboard mouldings finish off the space and tie the kitchen in to the rest of the home.
