PROJECT 11/21

Heritage Kitchen Remodel, New Westminster

Previously adorning canary yellow walls and black-and-white vinyl flooring, this kitchen underwent an extensive remodel to match the rest of this turn-of-the-century home. To accomplish this, our team gutted the kitchen, increased the ceiling height, and removed an unused powder room to create a spacious layout. We then bumped out and rebuilt the main exterior wall to fit two large, bevelled windows and updated the original plumbing and electrical lines. Solid oak floors were installed and refinished to match the existing hardwood throughout the home, while new mouldings were cut and painted to look like the original baseboards and window trims. Shaker-style cabinets were installed around the kitchen, concealing the integrated appliances, and decorated with traditional brass hardware. The exposed brick wall was custom laid and created the perfect backdrop for the 63” British Racing Green AGA range. This kitchen renovation was complete with a bespoke hood fan, hutch, and plate rack made to look like furniture and match the era of the home.
